In the first home game at East Limestone since the 2011 tornadoes destroyed the field, the Indians defeated Decatur in the East-Athens preseason tournament.

Hunter Waites homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning to lead the Indians, and Colby Sneed drove in two runs with a triple. ?Seth Fowler had a pair of RBIs with a double. Ben Rhodes, Mark Boersma, Caleb Newby, and Brick Pugh each hit safely. Jackson Fite had two hits for Decatur.

Tanner Russell got the win for the Indians on the mound striking out six through seven innings. Russell allowed three earned runs on four hits and three walks over seven innings.
