(or maybe you don't, I don't know your life)
But if you do!
Dread is a tabletop roleplaying game where, instead of dice, stats, and hit points, players pull Jenga blocks to see what they can and cannot do. If the tower falls, the character dies and you have to make a new one. You knock the tower down, your character is called a "Dead Man Walking," which means that the DM gets to kill the character off at the moment most convenient to the story. Simple as that. Those aren't all the rules, of course, but those are the bits that are important to what I want to do here.
Plain and simple, I want to run a text Dread game. Obviously we can't play with Jenga blocks, unless you guys are long distance telepaths or something, but I was thinking that instead users could either pick or roll a number 1-20 for each post, and I'd roll a die over here and see how the story unfolded. I mean, unless you wanted me to decide dramatically and at random. *spooky laugh*
It'd be kind of on the fast paced side, preferably, with player characters acting as the main characters of the story and GM characters all acting as NPCs.
Aaaaanyway, that's what I'm looking at conceptually. As for story concept, think creepy old hotels in New York City owned by wizards. If I can get just a FEW people interested I'll start cranking out some more information.
