Hi everyone! I'm Jodi Ettenberg, formerly a lawyer and now a food and travel writer at Legal Nomads. I worked as a corporate lawyer for 5 years in New York before quitting my job in 2008 to travel the world. I thought I'd be gone for one year, but I realized somewhere between Mongolia and China that what I really wanted to do was write about the history of food and why it matters. I recently I wrote a book called Food Traveler's Handbook, about how to find cheap, safe, and delicious food anywhere in the world. The book?and the aim in writing about food?is not only to encourage people to eat street food but also to use food as a lens through which they can learn about a new place and its people.
