Mia Meyer scored on a breakaway four minutes into overtime to give the home-standing King George field hockey team a 2?1 Battlefield District victory over Eastern View Friday.
Kara Peters gave Eastern View a 1?0 lead 45 seconds into the game. Lilly Baggett?Clift scored with an assist from Meghan Yanchulis for the Foxes with 15 second left in the game to force overtime.
King George hosts Courtland on Monday at 7 p.m.

Morgan Nebel scored off an assist from Madeline Smalley to give visiting Fredericksburg Christian a Delaney Athletic Conference win. Goalie Bridgitte Root made nine saves for the Eagles (2?4), who visit Fredericksburg Academy on Tuesday.
